Your Impact 

The Director of Operations will oversee and ensure the smooth and compliant operations of Axon’s Vietnam office, acting as a key facilitator between local teams and corporate functions. This role requires a strong leader who can navigate complex operational, legal, and cultural landscapes while driving strategic initiatives that align with Axon’s global vision.

What You Will Do
Location: Hybrid at Ho Chi Minh City
Reports to: General Director of Axon Vietnam

  • Ensure the effective day-to-day operations of the Vietnam office, maintaining compliance and operational efficiency.
  • Serve as a local legal representative, managing compliance with local legal requirements and regulations.
  • Make final decisions on administrative and operational matters, ensuring the effective achievement of corporate objectives.
  • Act as an in-country facilitator with corporate functions in People Ops, Legal, Finance, Facilities, and Compliance, collaborating to execute various initiatives.
  • Partner with cross-functional senior leaders to develop and implement strategic plans and objectives in alignment with the company's goals.
  • Work on complex issues that require in-depth knowledge of the company, participating in corporate development of methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for projects, programs, and personnel.
  • Direct and control the activities of a broad functional area through several department managers within the company.
  • Champion culture and engagement programs, aligning Axon’s global culture with Vietnam’s unique dynamics while driving local initiatives.
  • Contribute to office growth by running special programs, projects and events to support new and existing employees and business units at Axon.
  • Manage local government affairs, such as annual local audits, licensing, labor council relations, and other related activities, in conjunction with Axon Legal and Compliance teams.
  • Ensure that office budgets and schedules align with corporate requirements.
  • Have overall control of planning, staffing, budgeting, managing expense priorities, and recommending and implementing changes to methods.


What You Bring

  • Vietnamese National with 7+ years of experience in Vietnamese Business Administration with at least 2 years at an international company
  • Must have a Finance, Business Administration, Foreign Trade, Economics, Audit, or relevant degree
  • IELTS 8.0+ or equivalent
  • Leadership qualities - able to recruit and manage two levels of hierarchy and build trust within the team.
  • Personal Qualifications
    • Exceptional level of trust and willing to prevent action that would put the company at violation of Vietnamese or International Law
    • Intelligent, creative thinker and problem solver
    • Strong bias for action, identifies key problems and builds solutions for them.
    • Breadth is important - Jack of Many Trades who has the ability to identify and fill the missing pieces of their job description.
    • Functional expertise in Finance, Import/Export, Compliance, Foreign Trade, Audit, or other relevant function.
