In this role, you’ll support Strava’s global tax operations, collaborating with finance and revenue teams to ensure accurate tax logic and streamlined reporting. Your work will include preparing quarterly and annual provisions, managing federal, state, and international filings, and supporting indirect tax compliance.

What You’ll Do: 

Tax Compliance (Global)

  • Support the preparation of quarterly and annual income tax provisions in accordance with ASC 740
  • Assist with coordination and review of U.S. federal, state, and international corporate income tax filings
  • Coordinate VAT, GST, and sales/use tax registrations, filings, and audit responses in collaboration with local advisors
  • Work with FP&A and RevOps to align system tax logic (e.g., Shopify, Adyen, Paddle, App Stores) and revenue recognition practices.
  • Drive automation and reconciliation processes (e.g., Avalara).

Corporate Insurance & Risk Support

  • Support corporate insurance renewals and certificate of insurance requests.

What You’ll Bring to the Team: 

  • 5–7 years of relevant experience in corporate tax, ideally within a multinational company or Big 4/public accounting background.
  • Strong technical knowledge of U.S. federal, state, and international corporate income tax, including ASC 740.
  • Hands-on experience with VAT, GST, and sales/use tax compliance and filings.
  • Experience supporting quarterly and annual close processes, including income tax provisions and reconciliations.
  • Proficiency in Excel and financial modeling, with comfort using tax and finance systems
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or progress toward certification strongly preferred.
  • Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Compensation Overview:

At Strava, we know our employees are the most important ingredient to our success, and our compensation and total rewards programs reflect that. We take a market-based approach to pay, and pay may vary depending on the department and your location. Salary ranges are categorized into one of three tiers based on a cost of labor index for that geographic area. We will determine the candidate’s starting pay based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. We may modify these ranges in the future. Compensation: $121,000-$144,000 base salary per year. This range reflects base compensation only and does not include equity or benefits. Your recruiter can share more details about the full compensation package, including the range specific to your location, during the hiring process.
